As soon as I post a that nothing is going on in my life, I pass this monstracity on the US-80. As you can see from the picture, it was white, about 70' long, made of a strange fiberglass like materials and hollow. As AeroJet (a prime contractor for NASA) is just down the road from me, my bet is that it is alien in origin. If anyone else has any better guess what this could be, leave a comment.

You have any of those windmill powerstations up around there? Maybe a blade for one of those?

So I thought about that (there are a ton of windmills on the Altamont pass which is between me and the Bay Area), but boy those would have to be really tall towers . . . I don't think that those towers are 100+ feet tall.
I'm still sticking with martian spacecraft propeller.
I did some search engine poking around. Altamont Pass does have some of the big turbines that are over 200 ft tall with 150 rotor diameters. They are also replacing the ton of smaller, shorter turbines with fewer, larger ones. And really, what the hell else needs a rotor that big? The large cargo helicopters even only have like 40ft rotor blades.
